Group Launches First Anti-Trump Protest From Space & It’s Absolutely Perfect (VIDEO)

You know you’re really hated when people goes as far as to protest you on the galactic level.

One group has done just that. ASAN, the Autonomous Space Agency Network, took to the stars to launch the first space protest where they protested the Donald Trump presidency.

ASAN described themselves as:

‘…a world-wide network of independent, community-based space exploration programs. We seek to overturn the corporate and military monopoly on space exploration by funding and executing missions that bridge the gap between scientific enterprise and artistic expression.’

On Wednesday, they tweeted out a two-hour video of their protest banner floating from the ground to 90,000 feet in the air. They tweeted:

[email protected]:

The inspiration behind the message and imagery of their protest was from Apollo 14’s Edgar Mitchell who said this about walking on the moon.

‘From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, “Look at that, you son of a bitch.”‘

What a fitting quote.

To get the message into space, they launched a weather balloon that rose to 90,000 feet, which is not actually “outer space.” However, it’s in what is called the near-space sphere. Regardless of that, it still got its message across.

Twitter users responded to the epic protest.

‘Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for this.’

‘Only thing wrong, Donald is not holding onto it’

‘Be careful, he might have it shot down! Haha’
