Trump Reportedly Furious Over TIME Magazine With Steve Bannon On Cover (TWEETS)

Steve Bannon has allegedly gotten himself written out of President Trump’s good books thanks to one surprising new development.

Saturday, The New York Times identified that Donald Trump is frothing at the mouth over Bannon’s February cover for Time magazine. Trump’s supposed issue with the publication  is due to the story that accompanied the cover. In said story, Bannon is depicted as the “Second Most Powerful Man in the World” and worse, “The Great Manipulator.” Given rumors suggesting Trump is essentially a puppet to Bannon, and his incessant need to have and take credit, ‘The Donald’ is not pleased.

According to the Times, President Trump felt a profound need to set the record straight when speaking to a White House visitor. Regarding whether any of his staff put their interests and ideologies above his, Trump snapped:

‘That doesn’t just happen.’

To add insult to injury, Donald Trump’s son-in-law turned advisor, Jared Kushner, has been feuding with Stephen Bannon according to various reports. Ivanka Trump, Kushner’s wife and the apple of Donald Trump’s eye, has allegedly become involved as well:

‘Still, for all the talk of a velvet coup against Mr. Bannon, Mr. Kushner and Ms. Trump have achieved few concrete victories. And several administration officials and people close to the family said the couple’s move against Mr. Bannon was motivated less by interest in shaping any particular policy than by addressing what they view as an embarrassing string of failures that may damage the Trump family brand.’

Donald Trump even publically acknowledged the feud, telling the New York Post that:

‘Steve is a good guy, but I told them to straighten it out or I will.’

He further downplayed Bannon’s importance in the White House, perhaps in retaliation for the Time magazine story, and perhaps in part due to the feud:

‘…[Y]ou have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late. I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own strategist and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary.’

In light of these comments, some insiders are speculating that Steve Bannon might be well on his way to being fired. Pro-Bannon and Anti-Bannon Americans have therefore, naturally, taken to social media to voice their opinions on whether to #keepBannon and #fireKushner or #fireBannon.

Check out some of the highlights below — but be warned, keep a barf bag handy:

‘As the only true man of the RIGHT in Trump administration, Steve Bannon is the beating heart of our revolution. Tell Trump to #KEEPBANNON’

‘Flash Mob Assembles Outside White House, Kekistanis Show Full Support’

‘Steve Bannon is a tactical genius & totally understands and is in tune with this movement. Daddy must keep him as a strategist. #KeepBannon’

At least some users have come out to give us some semblance of hope:

‘This is pathetic. I can’t believe we are discussing #FireKushner or #FireBannon. Both are unqualified & unworthy of any position in the WH.’

‘Is anyone shocked that the right wants the Jewish guy to go and not the White supremacist?…’

‘Who’s worse? #FireBannon or #firekushner? Can’t we just #firetrump so we can get rid of all the lunatics? While you’re at it #firepence too…’
