Last week, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer made one of the biggest blunders of his career when he told reporters that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was worse than Adolph Hitler.

Speaking of the chemical attack that al-Assad ordered against his own people, Spicer said:

‘You know, you had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons.’

He also referred to concentration camps as “Holocaust centers.”

Amidst calls for him to be fired from his position, Spicer did later issue an apology for the “inappropriate and insensitive reference to the Holocaust.” However, that apology did not save him from getting mocked by Melissa McCarthy on last night’s episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

The show’s cold open began with McCarthy dressed in a bunny suit, an obvious reference to the fact that Spicer was once the White House Easter Bunny.

After McCarthy hopped up to the podium and kicked out all the children who were gathering Easter eggs for the White House’s annual celebration, she shouted at the press:

‘Everybody shut up so I can apologize. Yes, you all got your wish this week, didn’t you? Spicy finally made a mistake.’

She then went on to clarify that, instead of “Holocaust Centers,” Spicer obviously meant to say “concentration clubs.”

In typical Spicer fashion, McCarthy also argued that the press should be focusing on “the big picture.”

‘It would be really great if the nitpickers could try to see the big picture, and didn’t solely focus on every little slur and lie I say.’

The cold open also included a woefully inaccurate version of the story of Passover, which McCarthy called “the Jewish Easter,” and a joke about Holocaust victims not being forced to “fly United.”

McCarthy delivered a harsh dose of reality at the end of the sketch, though, when she told the press, “Oh, and by the way, the President’s probably gonna bomb North Korea tonight.”

She added, before riding off on a scooter decorated as a giant Easter egg:

‘And everybody, just eat as much candy as you want, cause this is probably our last Easter on Earth.’
