Ronald Reagan’s Top Advisor & GOP Hero Flips Out On Trump LIVE During Interview

During a campaign-style rally on Saturday, Trump delivered a speech that former Ronald Reagan advisor David Gergen was not at all impressed by.

Gergen said that the president’s speech was “the most divisive speech I’ve ever heard from a sitting American president. To bring your campaign speech into the presidency is something presidents rarely do.”

He continued on to point out how it seems as though Trump views anyone who opposes him as the enemy.

‘He played to his base and he treated his other listeners, the rest of the people who have been disturbed about him or oppose him, he treated them basically as ‘I don’t care, I don’t give a damn what you think, because you’re frankly like the enemy.”

Having advised four past presidents, Gergen is not new to the political scene. He stated that he found the speech Trump delivered to be “deeply disturbing.”

The speech was given at a freewheeling rally that Trump held in Harrisburg, PA., late on Saturday in order to celebrate his 100th day in office. Trump basked in the cheers of the crowd as he boasted and bragged about his accomplishments, and reiterated that he has a commitment to promises he made during the campaign, of course, including the building of the infamous border wall.

Trump didn’t stop there of course, he also accused Democrats of messing with his agenda, specifically Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. “Sen. Schumer is bad leader. I’ve known him a long time. Sen. Schumer is a bad leader. Not a natural leader at all. He works hard to study leadership. When you have to study leadership, you’ve got problems,” Trump said as though he’s really in a position to call anyone a bad leader.

Continuing on, Trump criticized the way that his first 100 days in office had been portrayed by the media during the rally. He went on to say that the “fake news” media would much rather be at the rally tonight, but instead they are trapped at the boring old dinner.

The rally was held on the same night as the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner back in Washington. Trump went on to say that there is no where he’d rather be then at that rally:

‘I could not possibly be more thrilled than to be more than 100 miles away from Washington’s swamp, spending my evening with all of you and with a much, much larger crowd and much better people.’
