Trump Rants About Senate Hearing On Twitter – Makes Massive Fool Of Himself

President Trump is, understandably, not very happy with the current investigation into his campaign team’s connections to Russia. However, he appears to be at least somewhat satisfied with the information James Clapper, the former Director of National Intelligence, delivered to the Senate Judiciary subcommittee on Monday.

On Monday afternoon, following Clapper’s announcement that there is still “no evidence” to prove that collusion took place between the Trump campaign and Russia, the President shared the following gloating tweet:

‘Director Clapper reiterated what everybody, including the fake media already knows- there is “no evidence” of collusion w/ Russia and Trump.’

Clapper made today’s statement after he was reminded by Senator Lindsey Graham (R-North Carolina) of a message he shared previously with NBC about there not being any evidence. When asked if this is still the case, Clapper said that”it is.”

While Trump was busy gloating, his followers were busy pointing out that he was showing a pretty selective understanding of Monday’s events.

The President was on a roll, though, and, as usual, couldn’t be bothered with corrections. He followed his tweet about Clapper up with yet another attack on the press.

‘The Russia-Trump collusion story is a total hoax, when will this taxpayer funded charade end?’

Of course, Trump will continue to deny any collusion for as long as he can, but the truth will surely come out as the hearings and investigations continue.
