On Tuesday, it was revealed that President Trump allegedly asked former FBI Director James Comey to drop the investigation into Michael Flynn’s communications with the Russian ambassador. Comey reportedly wrote in a memo that Trump told him:
‘I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.’
As news about the memo began to circulate, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) shared a tweet saying that he needs to see it “sooner rather than later.”
‘@GOPoversight is going to get the Comey memo, if it exists. I need to see it sooner rather than later. I have my subpoena pen ready.’

This comment from Chaffetz is surprising, especially considering the fact that Chaffetz has, in the past, been hesitant to investigate any of Trump’s misdeeds. It seems, though, that even he can’t ignore this new revelation.
