After the news broke of Donald Trump telling former FBI Director James Comey to drop the Michael Flynn investigation, Trump’s Twitter was a virtual ghost town. Normally, Trump would be typing up a tweet storm, but no. Yet, one of Trump’s sons managed to sneak a tweet out Wednesday morning:
Fox’s Geraldo Rivera tweeted this “news flash”:
‘News flash, @realdonaldtrump @JamesComeyFBI cuts @MikeFlynn some flack because he is a ‘good man’ is not close to @Obstruction.’
— Geraldo Rivera (@GeraldoRivera) May 17, 2017
Donald Trump, Jr. could not resist responding to Rivera’s tweet with one dramatic word:
— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) May 17, 2017
It sounds as if the President’s eldest son just confirmed that Donald Trump did ask Comey to drop the investigation into the Flynn-Russia connection. Rivera took those to task who said Trump tried to obstruct the investigation, and that was grounds for impeachment. After all, the journalist is an attorney. Rivera did not disagree with Comey’s claim that Trump asked the director to let go of the investigation, then fired him when he did not.
Then, it appeared that Trump Jr. weighed in, not denying his father’s actions, but agreeing those actions were not grounds for impeachment.
Others responded to Jr.’s tweet, apparently believing that Trump’s offspring would put their foot in their mouth, just as Papa tends to do:
‘@DonaldJTrumpJr Please keep talking.’
@DonaldJTrumpJr Please keep talking.

Oliver Butler was having some fun at the President’s son’s expense, and he continued:
‘@DonaldJTrumpJr Don’t interrupt your enemies when they’re making a mistake.’

Like the crazed queen in Alice In Wonderland who cried “Off with her head! Off with her head!” Trump has no trouble telling people “You’re fired!” He is particularly fond of pink-slipping those who disagree with him and those close to him in moments of anger.
Trump fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates for telling him that Flynn could be compromised and that he was susceptible to Russian blackmail. He also fired US attorney for the Southern District of New York, Preet Bharara, who was allegedly investigating Trump for money-laundering. Then, he fired FBI Director Comey last Tuesday.
Can Trump fire his children?
