A man is firing at any hotel patron or employee he sees from the second floor of a very large and popular resort in the Philippines. Resort World Manila is on lockdown Thursday afternoon as police try to assess the situation.
There is currently no death toll, just reports of explosions and rapid gunfire as hotel guests run for cover.
According to Camille Abadicio of CNN Philippines:
“HEAVILY-ARMED SWAT OFFICERS WEARING BULLETPROOF VESTS AND BODY ARMOR DESCENDED ON THE SCENE AROUND 1:30 A.M FRIDAY.”
Resorts World Manila is currently on lockdown following reports of gunfire from unidentified men.

According to CNN:
“The sprawling complex has an array of hotels, restaurants and bars. Tourists flock to the complex for its casino, cinema and stores, which include several Western retailers such as Hugo Boss, Lacoste and Kate Spade.”
The resort sent out the following message from their Twitter page:
“The company is working closely with the Philippine National Police to ensure that all guests and employees are safe. We ask for your prayers during these difficult times.”
