Trump Tweets Saturday Message To America & Gets Instantly Rejected


People are outraged by a tardy Donald Trump tweet about the USS Fitzgerald tragedy. The tweet certainly did not sound as if the president had written it. Maybe his handlers were waiting for him to tweet. The peoples’ tweets that followed burned a hole in his response!

‘Thoughts and prayers with the sailors of USS Fitzgerald and their families. Thank you to our Japanese allies for their assistance’

In an all-out search for seven missing US sailors, American and Japanese planes and ships took to the air and water. A Navy destroyer and a container ship four times larger than it hit before dawn. The Navy vessel limped back to its home port at the Yokosuka Naval Base, which is south of Tokyo.

The Japanese coast guard got an emergency call from a Japanese container ship saying that it had collided with the USS Fitzgerald about 2:20 a.m. local time. The coast guard treated the accident as possible professional negligence. Officials began interviewing crew members about how the crash happened.

At least three other Navy sailors were injured in the collision. Vice Admiral Joseph P. Aucoin said:

Fitzgerald crew. Now that the ship is in Yokosuka, I ask that you help the
families by maintaining their privacy as we continue the search for our

The tweets came down hard on Trump.
