Melania Trump has close to no record to go on in pretending to be some sort of model First Lady, and her staffers have even acknowledged this. Melania’s staffers have chalked up her do-nothingness to how little time she’s actually spent in the office; they say to give her time.
Well, the internet isn’t exactly interested in giving her time. She kicked off her time as First Lady by costing the country untold millions of dollars because she stayed in New York City instead of moving to D.C., and the internet isn’t about to let her live that — or anything else — down.
On Monday, she tweeted about having met with the First Lady of Panama, Lorena Castillo García de Varela. Alongside a photo of her with Mrs. Varela, Melania wrote, “Enjoyed hosting Mrs. Varela of Panama
@WhiteHouse for lunch today. I look forward to working alongside her in the future!”

You “look forward to working alongside her in the future,” Melania? And what exactly do you look forward to working with her on? Do you know that posing for photos to be posted to Twitter and having lunch doesn’t really count as “working”?
Just a simple Google search reveals Mrs. Varela’s accomplishments, including such notable high points as her appointment to the position of “UNAIDS Special Ambassador for AIDS in Latin America.”
That’s certainly not going to be one of the things that Melania works with the Panamanian First Lady on. Half a dozen members of the president’s advisory council on HIV/AIDS resigned recently, stating that they can not continue to serve under a president who “simply does not care.”
Mrs. Varela is a journalist turned Latin American political leader. Mrs. Trump is a former model whose husband, who happens to be decades older than her, accidentally got elected to the presidency.
No matter who you support, it’s counter-intuitive to refuse to acknowledge the clear difference there. Melania simply doesn’t know what she’s doing and has nothing to show for her efforts to pretend like she does. She’s not likely to be “working together with” the First Lady of Panama on anything anytime soon.

What do you think about this? Do you think any of your stepchildren will be squealing? https://t.co/WYFSaOyMm8

44 countries still have monarchies and in case you're confused, the United States IS NOT one of them.
