Days after former Trump campaign staffer and ex-Kentucky judge, Tim Nolan was hit with 20 felony and two misdemeanor charges, including human trafficking, rape, prostitution, witness tampering, and unlawful transaction with a minor, another GOP ally is reportedly in hot water of the sexual abuse/harassment type.

Late last week it was confirmed that Charles Payne, host of Fox News’ Making Money, was suspended indefinitely while the network investigates allegations against him.

The 56 year-old Payne has been with the Fox Business Network since it started in 2006, but his longevity didn’t save him from Fox’s refusal to find itself in the same position of accusations of cover-ups, it has been in, in the past. His suspension was made public after his show last Thursday night and after the Los Angeles Times ran a story about the situation.

A representative for the network said:

‘We take issues of this nature extremely seriously and have a zero-tolerance policy for any professional misconduct. This matter is being thoroughly investigated and we are taking all of the appropriate steps to reach a resolution in a timely manner.’

Payne is married and often talks about his wife on-air, but has admitted to a three-year “romantic relationship” with a political analyst who often appeared on the Fox Business Network, as well as Fox News. Like Payne, his accuser is married.

While it seems that aspects of the relationship were mutual and consensual, the fling is being investigated because the woman reached out to Fox News’ law firm and reported the relationship as sexual misconduct. She claims that as a result of ending her relationship with Payne and attempts to report him to higher-ups at Fox, she was shut-out from working at the network.

Payne’s lawyer, Neal Korval, states Payne “categorically denies” any acts of harassment, and will address the accusations in court, if necessary. For now, Payne has settled for fighting the accusations via social media. He posted a tweet defending himself and vowing to stand against the allegations “like a lion armed with the truth.”

The name of Payne’s accuser and details of their relationship were initially being withheld. Not anymore. Payne’s former mistresses is allegedly GOP news pundit, Scottie Nell Hughes, and along with her name having been released, so have steamy emails that may have been exchanged between the pair.

The alleged pieces of communication were supposedly exchanged in 2013 and detail everything from an explicit and extremely sexually charged dream that Hughes had about Payne, to possible tension in whatever relationship Payne and Hughes may have had.

Payne becomes the latest in a growing list of Fox employees to be under scrutiny for sexual harassment or related allegations. Jamie Horowitz, one of Fox’s senior sports staffers was terminated last Monday as a result of sexual harassment complaints. Deceased former Fox Founder/CEO, Roger Ailes’ last days were marked with controversy behind accusations of his sexual misconduct. Bill O’Reilly was recently fired for the same reasons.

Payne’s suspension came exactly one year after former Fox on-air personality Gretchen Carlson’s lawsuit against Fox, something she tweeted in commemoration of:
