Chris Christie had the awful idea to go on a radio show and take calls from the public just days after he had another brilliant idea to hang out on a New Jersey beach that he had closed to the public during 4th of July weekend.
Someone just called Christie a "fat ass" on @WFAN660.
Christie calls him a "communist."
This radio audition is going well.

It’s unclear how Christie thought this could possibly go any direction but south, however, the seemingly impenetrable facade he keeps firmly in place was ever prevalent.
When the caller dialed into WFAN in New York City’s line, it was clear he was a man on a mission, and immediately took aim at the governor. The enraged caller can be heard saying:
“Governor, next time you want to sit on a beach that is closed to the entire world except you, you put your fat ass in a car and go to one that’s open to all your constituents, not just you and yours.”
This is amazing. And If you think this means Christie's audition is going badly, you've never listened to New York sports talk radio. https://t.co/oxfLa7GgTp

While Christie pulled his usual macho crap, pretending he doesn’t care about the jab at his weight, his response speaks volumes to how badly the caller got under his skin:
“You know, Mike, I love getting calls from communists in Montclair.”
The caller didn’t let Christie speak for long, interjecting with:
“You’re a bully, governor, and I don’t like bullies.”
Christie chimes in again, even more butthurt than before. He calls the man a bum, to which the caller replies that the whole beach thing was just “bad optics.” Naturally, one would assume “bad optics” to mean, “hey dude, this looks bad,” but Christie took it as yet another jab at his weight. Christie replied:
“I’d love to come look at your optics every day, buddy.”
