Proving the president wrong isn’t such a difficult task, given the fact that he rarely says anything that’s grounded in the truth.
Things were no different Wednesday when 45’s new “voter integrity” commission met for the first time to discuss the perceived voter “fraud” in the 2016 presidential election, USA Today reports.
He told those present at the commission’s first meeting:
‘This issue is very important to me because, throughout the campaign, and even after, people would come up to me and express their concerns about voter inconsistencies and irregularities which they saw. In some cases having to do with very large numbers of people in certain states.’
The president reportedly formed the commission after claiming that 3 to 5 million “illegals” casted their votes during the 2016 presidential election. That claim, of course, was never backed by any evidence.
Trump continued, adding:
‘All public officials have a profound responsibility to protect the integrity of the vote. We have no choice — we wanna make America great again — we have to protect the integrity of the vote and our voters.’

However, one news network wasn’t simply going to stand by and watch the president blatantly fabricate claims in an attempt to soothe his ego after losing the popular vote. As he stood behind his presidential podium — quite literally inventing things out of thin air — MSNBC shut him down in 2 seconds flat with an on-screen graphic:
BOOM. Just like that.
Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman Tom Perez also ripped into Trump regarding his voter fraud paneling, calling it nothing more than a “propaganda factory” for voter suppression efforts.
In a TIME Magazine editorial published Wednesday, Perez delivered a stunning analogy that really puts things into perspective for those still feeling somewhat confused:
‘You’re more likely to see someone fatally struck by lightning than witness a case of in-person voter fraud.’
And he’s exactly right. What Trump is trying to do is ensure he wins the 2020 election by suppressing the vote through federal legislation. But if network’s like MSNBC and politicians like Perez have their way, Trump won’t get away with lying to the American people anymore — that is, at least not without the truth emerging simultaneously.
