With new Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci set to take over the monumental job of reshaping the crumbling Trump White House communications department, he promised change. In one tweet, he promised the politics of “gotcha” were over; however, he also announced he’d be deleting old tweets as his “past views evolved.”

Change is fine and good. However, does that change also extend to the president’s treatment towards the press? Of course, it doesn’t!

Here’s how we know.

A Trump supporter, who openly advertises Michelle Malkin follows them, tweeted this photo of Scaramucchi behind the press briefing podium along with a quote from Fox News’ Jesse Watters describing Scaramucchi. The tweet said:

‘”Scaramucci looks like he’s going to punch the press in the face and then help em up off the turf.” [email protected] #SundayMorning’

We expect nothing less of an extremist Trump supporter. What we do expect, however, is a president of the United States not to endorse or humor for a second the idea of violence against the press. Again, our expectations were not met. How do we know?

On their mobile app Twitter informs you of what the people you are following have been liking, retweeting, and commenting on. In those updates, we noticed Trump had liked user @MichelleRMed’s tweet and photo which explicitly said Scaramucchi looked like he committed an aggressive act of violence against the American press.

To be positive, we clicked the Trump bubble to confirm it was the real Trump, and yes, it was. It went directly to his blue check-marked profile.

We weren’t the only ones to notice Trump liked the tweet. Users who noticed the president’s online endorsement of violence responded:

‘Impressed that you got Trump to like your tweet! After reading it, I see why! The @POTUS who is against freedom of the press’

‘Absolutely love how enamored our president is with violence and the press. #InsaneInTheMembrane’

‘Did you know Trump liked your tweet? He must’ve un-liked it afterwards but he did like it nonetheless! Proofs:’

‘I liked this because Donald J. trump liked this And also because yes’
