The president is determined to have something to show for his six months in office, even if that means he has to make something up.

Concurrently, the president has had a lot of time to tweet while on his currently underway seventeen day “working vacation” at his private golf club in New Jersey.

On Friday afternoon, on the occasion of Ivanka Trump tweeting that she would be joining Secs. Jim Acosta and Betsy DeVos to “update [the president] on our workforce development initiatives since signing the Workforce EO in June,” Trump tweeted a link to the Executive Order that she mentions.

Check it out below.

Trump commented of the Executive Order:

‘We want to make sure that we have the workforce development programs we need to ensure these jobs are being filled by American workers.’

In commenting as such, Trump yet again ties his administration’s actions into re-creating some sort of early 1900’s-esque America, where the jobs are only filled with “American workers.”

It’s not even as though his administration has been creating that many jobs to begin with. Pretty much all of the job creation that has taken place in the United States since Trump took office has been thanks to the economic policies laid out by the Obama Administration.
