Marco Rubio Does The Unthinkable & Goes After Trump Over Alt-Right Violence

Today’s shocking events in Charlottesville, Virginia have warranted the response of several individuals from regular, every day citizens to the president of the United States. When President Donald Trump logged onto Twitter, many found his response to the violent protests unacceptable.

One of the many responses included:

‘Am in Bedminster for meetings & press conference on V.A. & all that we have done, and are doing, to make it better-but Charlottesville sad!’

The remarks, surprisingly, received criticism from fellow Republicans in Washington, D.C., including Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), who tweeted:

‘Very important for the nation to hear @potus describe events in #Charlottesville for what they are, a terror attack by #whitesupremacists’

The fact that a Republican actually called out an attack on people by a white person a “terror attack” is beyond surprising. Furthermore, it was even more mind-boggling that the person to make such a statement was Sen. Rubio.

Twitter users responded to Rubio’s tweets with some commending Rubio’s words and some still calling Rubio out.

‘Perhaps you should grow a spine and tell him directly? You have his phone number.’

‘Who says he hasn’t? Making it public applies more pressure anyways… but some people will be angry no matter what Marco says or does.’

‘Time for Marco and his senate colleagues to start impeachment proceedings. Trump is incapable of leadership.’

‘You really are stepping it up. Now, for your final challenge, would you please call out Miller, Bannon & Gorka?’

‘right. nice to see Marco call for him to do the right though.’

‘Then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, for God’s sake. U lied when u said ud condemn him about violating Cuba embargo. Grow a spine. Condemn Trump.’

‘Wow. I never thought I’d see the day Republicans calls out Trump for his weak stance on racism’

‘Yes, and it’s important that responsible republicans demand that he fire Bannon, Gorka and Miller immediately. Get the racists out of the WH’

‘What are you going to do about it @marcorubio ?NOTHING @GOP epic fail making Trump face of the party. #ExGOP #FireTRUMP #FireRUBIO #FireGOP’

‘How many more people need to die before you & the rest of the GOP decide to give a sh*t & do something about this?’
