Hillary Clinton defeated Donald Trump in his home state of New York by a wide margin which, we’re sure, is something Trump hates to hear. However, there is one Trump who is proving very popular with a certain segment of New Yorkers and that’s Ivanka. Dr. Norman Rowe, a New York-based plastic surgeon, says that since last summer, around 50 women have asked him to make them look like Ivanka.

As Rowe describes it, the Ivanka look entails widened cheekbones, a slender nose and large eyes. Rowe says women may spend between $30,000 to $40,000 for a temporary version of the look using Botox. For those who want the “permanent Ivanka,” they’ll have to spend an extra five or ten thousand on the necessary surgeries.

Rowe says that no one asked for the look prior to Republican primaries.

‘I never saw [anyone drawing inspiration from Ivanka’s face] before the primary,” said Rowe, “since the summer of ’16 . . . [it’s been] maybe four a month; one a week.’

Rowe says the First Daughter now rivals Kylie Jenner in terms of the most popular celebrity faces to imitate.

Rowe says that some women may simply like the look, but he also notes that Ivanka’s role in the White House and as a businesswoman may also play a role in the look’s sudden popularity.

‘Maybe they just like the look, but also that [Ivanka’s] a powerful woman, self-confident, part of the first family. Do they want to be her? Yes, deep down, maybe’

When asked about New York’s apparent distaste for Trump and the state’s preference for Hillary Clinton, Rowe said that he didn’t think politics really played a role in this.

‘I don’t think it plays a role in the least. I think it has to do with somebody who you respect the way they look, and I don’t think it’s anything to do with whether you’re blue or red.’

That being said, Rowe noted that no one ever requested to look like Ivanka’s father.

‘No, I’ve never had anybody come in and say, “Make me into a Donald!” ‘

Plastic surgery like this is nothing new and celebrities are often popular templates so we suppose Ivanka’s newfound popularity among a certain segment of New York women isn’t too surprising. That being said, it does strike us as strange that people would chose to model themselves after Ivanka. The First Daughter’s popularity is definitely trending downward as many view her as complicit in her father’s administration. Beyond that, even her business success is dwindling. Nordstrom famously dropped her clothing line a few months back and the president lashed out at the company on Twitter though it did no good.
