Betsy DeVos succeeded in aiding President Donald Trump in unraveling the Obama legacy of change and actual progress when she rescinded directives from the Obama administration that provided guidelines on campus rape allegations. The New York Times reported:
‘Reversing a key part of government policy on campus sexual assault, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos on Friday issued new temporary rules that could give accused students greater protection against campus rape and sexual misconduct claims.’
Needless to say, many are outraged by the newest move from the Trump administration including those from the previous Obama administration. Vice President Joe Biden harshly criticized DeVos’ move in a tweet on Friday when he tweeted:
‘Today’s Title IX decision is shameful, but the law is still the law. Colleges & universities must honor obligations to students & survivors.’
Why can’t this man be our president? Twitter users echoed the same sentiments with total approval and wishes for Biden to attempt a run for the White House in 2020.
