Donald Trump has made a bundle off of his presidency. He wore his over-sized white cap to view Houston after Hurricane Harvey, available for the low, low price of $40. Then, there are his hotels and resorts, which he has visited nearly every weekend to get free media coverage. That still was not enough for Trump, however. His latest greed-scam is appalling.

The president has been trying to wrangle a hefty tax cut for his family, friends, and their businesses. A new ABC News/Washington Post poll indicates that the American people can see right through Trump’s sales pitch. A statistically huge 65 percent of Americans believed that the wealthy do not pay enough in taxes. When President Dwight Eisenhower was in office, the upper tax bracket was 90 percent.

A majority of the people opposed the Trump tax plan by 44 to 28 percent. That left a large percentage, 28, undecided. About half of the people believed that his plan would cut taxes for the wealthy, and a meager 10 percent thought his plan would benefit the middle class. Around 25 percent felt that both the wealthy and the middle class would receive a tax cut.
