Senator John McCain is going against party policy once again, just after butting heads with GOP bigwigs over health care reform.
Just days ago, the GOP Senator from Arizona said:
‘I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal. I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried. Nor could I support it without knowing how much it will cost, how it will affect insurance premiums, and how many people will be helped or hurt by it.’
Today, McCain continued his rebellious crusade in favor of doing the right thing by insisting the U.S. Government help people in Puerto Rico left without food, water, and trapped in the rubble that is the wake of Hurricane Irma.
The Internet clearly loves him for it. People are crossing party lines to support McCain in his efforts to repeal legislation that has prevented hurricane victims from getting life-saving rescue efforts and supplies such as water.
People were questioning how only one Republican was in favor of saving lives.
Those from the left encouraged him to do the right thing and help disaster victims.
No Twitter post is complete without snark.
