Racist Scum Screams ‘N*GGER!’ At Two Black Men On A Train & Immediately Regrets It

Since President Trump took office, there have a number of incidents on the New York City subway in which racist passengers have harassed people of color. The most recent of these incidents took place on Saturday afternoon, when a man was forcibly removed from the L train — and pelted with a cup of soup on his way out — after he called a group of men the n-word and then said that he could because he is a graduate of NYU Law School.

A video of the incident shows the aggressor, a white man holding a Bud Light Lime-A-Rita, yelling at his fellow passengers:

‘I talk shit because I know I can, because I’m a lawyer. I went to NYU law. F*ck you!’

Shortly after these remarks, the man was pushed out of the train and onto the platform at Bedford Avenue.

Joshua Pyne, one of the witnesses of the incident, told Gothamist, a New York City-based news outlet, that the man started ranting after he had a “spat about personal space” with a group of young black men. The man then yelled “stupid n***er” at the group when they left the train.

After that, Pyne said, passengers turned on the man:

‘Understandably, this woman of color and a couple other folks as you can see in the video, call the guy out. This guy starts caterwauling about his 1st Amendment rights and whatnot. The guy didn’t seem to be falling-down drunk, but was …clearly belligerent.’

Pyne went on to describe what happened after the man was forced off the train:

‘After Bedford, the woman [who first called him out] kind of broke down. She and the larger gentlemen in black embraced and there was a good sense that social justice had been served. We, the handful of folks that had witnessed the entire thing from the start, wished the guy well and hoped he’d have a better weekend, as the woman got off at Lorimer, and was gone before things settled. The whole thing happened really fast.’

Witnesses have said that a police officer was on the scene at Bedford Avenue when the train pulled away. However, a spokesperson from the NYPD told Gothamist that there are no records of anyone who matched the man’s description being arrested on Saturday.

Watch the passengers revolt against the man in the video below, available via YouTube. He gets hit with the soup around 1:48.
