NY Times Fact Checks Trump’s AM Tantrum With Audio Evidence Of Donald’s Blatant Lies

There is no doubt that Donald Trump routinely lies in both verbal statements as well as on his favorite tantrum outlet, Twitter. Despite his supporters’ claims that they love Trump because he “tells it like it is,” the president has been caught in so many blatant lies that only the most die-hard Trump cult fans are too blind to acknowledge his penchant for spinning inaccurate narratives at will.

Trump claimed in a Tuesday morning tweet that The New York Times had tricked the hapless Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) by secretly recording the now-infamous interview with one of their reporters, during which Corker questioned Trump’s mental fitness to lead. Corker’s comments were made public shortly afterward with audio and transcripts to back them up.

‘[Corker] unloaded in an interview with The New York Times, saying in public what many of his Republican colleagues say in private — that the president is dangerously erratic, treats his high office like “a reality show,” has to be contained by his staff and is reckless enough to put the country “on the path to World War III.”’

Trump insisted that Corker never intended for the comments to be made public and had been embarrassed by the Times when they published the interview.

However, the reporter who interviewed Corker and published the interview, Jonathan Martin, fired back after Trump’s tweet, proving in no uncertain terms that Corker had every intention of having the comments made public.

In fact, there is audio recording, as well as a transcript of the interview, of Corker stating that he knew he was “on the record” and had his aides also recording the interview.

‘I understand we’re on the record. I don’t like normally talking to you on the record — I’m kidding you — but I will.’

Bob Corker also didn’t seem to want to keep his thoughts very private when he posted for all of social media to see his response to Trump’s original Twitter rants against him once the interview was published.

While it comes as no shock that Trump would lie so blatantly to the American public even when audio and video proves him false, these petty little squabbles combined with his inability to tell the truth more than proves Corker, as well as sane Americans – right. Trump is far from fit to lead the country.
