White House Delivers Crass Response To Trump’s Call To Dead Soldier’s Widow

After seriously callous and insensitive comments made to a grieving widow of a fallen soldier, Trump has had a bad morning. After claiming Rep. Fredericka Wilson (D-FL) lied about his comments, he now has to walk back his remarks.

According to an anonymous White House source, the White House is now claiming Trump was misunderstood by the family.

‘This president cares deeply. Maybe he said something that was misunderstood, but he certainly cares about fallen servicemen and women.’

Right. He was misunderstood. That’s why he accused Rep. Wilson of flat-out lying when he tweeted:

‘Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!’

It looks like someone didn’t have the proof he thought he had. Additionally, the mother of Sgt. La David T. Johnson confirmed Wilson’s account of the phone call.

‘President Trump did disrespect my son and my daughter and also me and my husband.’
