Trump Goes Berserk On Twitter After Widow Of Fallen Soldier Calls Him A Liar On GMA

The one voice Donald Trump should be too ashamed to criticize following the week-long controversy over his insensitive and controversial “comforting” phone call after the death of fallen soldier LaDavid Johnson spoke out on Good Morning America on Monday morning, and what she said made Trump look even worse than he already did.

Of course, Trump did criticize the widow and family in a tweet following Johnson’s interview, calling her a liar.

The man truly has no shame.

While Trump and his supporters spent an entire week bashing Rep. Frederica Wilson for her outrage over the phone call Trump made to his widow, Myeshia Johnson, the pregnant widow was busy burying her husband and dealing with the grief and pain of his loss. On Monday, she had the opportunity to share her thoughts on the criticism of Wilson and that infamous phone call that Trump insisted was misrepresented by the Florida representative.

Johnson said that Trump’s call was disrespectful, that the statement Wilson told reporters about was absolutely true, and that she still has far too many unanswered questions about her husband’s death. Saying that Wilson was “100 percent correct” in her statements about that phone call, Johnson told her interviewer:

‘I heard him say, “Well I guess you know he knew what he was signing up for, but it still hurts.”‘

Johnson also spoke about the many questions she and her family still have and the fact that she has still not been allowed to see or identify her husband’s body.

‘I need to see him so I know it’s my husband. They won’t show me a finger, a hand; I know my husband’s body from head-to-toe and they won’t let me see anything…I don’t know what is in that box. It could be empty for all I know.’

Johnson also debunked a tweet that Trump’s cult-like followers have been circulating on social media.

Johnson set the record straight regarding that tweet, calling it a “fake.”

Twitter was rightfully quick to criticize Trump’s tweet about Myeshia Johnson, but no criticism can fully express how deplorable or cruel the president is to call the grieving widow of a soldier a liar.
