If there’s anything we will remember about Donald Trump’s sham of a legacy, it’s the fact he’s the guy who bragged about groping women and getting away with it. He was then elected president of the United States, proving ANYONE can grow up to be president.
In “honor” of this, the producers of the show Legends of Tomorrow put up a commemorative plaque honoring Trump’s achievement of being a sexual predator and still being elected president. They put up the plaque in the same lot where the recording of the Access Hollywood tape occurred.
Seth Gottlieb, a visual effects artist on the same show, posted a picture of the plaque on his Facebook page. The plaque read:
‘On this spot in September 2005, Donald J. Trump bragged about committing sexual assault. In November 2016, he was elected President of the United States.’
A producer from the show tweeted later the plaque had been removed within 15 minutes.
‘It took our offices 15 minutes to take down this plaque. The truth remains.’
It’s a solid reminder of the fact a man who sexually assaulted women and bragged about it was elected to the highest office in the United States by people who absolutely knew what he had done, because there was physical proof in the form of a recording. This was not something that was rumored to happen. It for REAL happened. Yet, Trump won anyway. As hilarious as the plaque is, the point that it makes is a sad, pathetic one. It shows how willing the people of the United States are to follow an orange, perverse man-child.
Social media blew up responding to the posts on Facebook and Twitter alike. Below are some of the best responses.
