He just couldn’t do it. Trump almost went an entire 24 hours without picking a person to taunt and insult on social media, but in the end, he just couldn’t make it.
There are almost too many pieces of this tweet to pick apart that it’s difficult to know where to begin. Is Trump finally admitting that starting Twitter feuds and making up schoolyard bully nicknames is not presidential? If he is, that would be the first time since Trump announced his bid for the White House that he’s acknowledged that his actions on social media are far beneath the dignity of the presidency.
As for his claims that Moore’s show, The Terms of My Surrender, Trump is (as usual) just lying. The show was scheduled for a limited run of 12 weeks and 88 performances and the final show was run as scheduled on October 22. It did close to rather mixed reviews, some even rather scathing, but the Oscar winning documentarian was absolutely not “forced to close” due to bad reviews or poor ticket sales.
