Trump Just Low-Key Threatened Rex Tillerson’s Job – Fear Of Robert Mueller Exposed

It’s never been a secret that President Donald Trump is willing to throw his own administration officials under the bus if it serves the purpose of making him look good. During an interview with Fox News’ Lauren Ingraham, he did not make an exception when talking about Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

WASHINGTON, DC – OCTOBER 30: U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson looks on during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing concerning the authorizations for use of military force, October 30, 2017 in Washington, DC. As Mattis and Tillerson face questions about the administration’s authority to use military force, Congress is still seeking more information about the deadly ambush that killed four U.S. troops in Niger. During the interview, Ingraham basically gave him a fairly easy time, allowing him to fit in jabs at Democratic nominee and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. However, what was truly interesting was the fact that he hinted that Secretary of State Tillerson might not last through Trump’s entire term. Right after saying Tillerson was doing the best he can, Ingraham asked if Tillerson would be with Trump for the duration of his presidency. Trump responded:

‘Well, we’ll see. I don’t know who’s going to be… duration… I think the duration… I’ll tell you this. I don’t think any president in nine months has done the job that we’ve done…’

He was obviously trying to avoid the question, considering how his administration will go down in the history books as a revolving door.

Ingraham asked beforehand if there was a concern that the State Department was undermining the Trump agenda. Trump basically negated the significance of the State Department and said he would do what he wanted no matter what.

‘All right. But let me tell you. The one that matters is me. I’m the only one that matters because when it comes to it, that’s what the policy is going to be.’

He also added:

‘I want my vision, but my vision is my vision.’

Basically, if Trump wants something, it doesn’t matter what his appointees advise him. He’s going to do it.

This is not the first time Trump has thrown shade at his Secretary of State. It was reported last month that after a meeting with Trump, Tillerson called Trump “a fucking moron.” He also was rumored to be considering leaving his position as secretary of state. Of course, the press went wild with it, and Tillerson held a press conference stating he had never considered leaving the position. However, he did not deny he called the president “a fucking moron.” He simply refused to acknowledge the question.

Afterwards, Trump poked fun at Tillerson when he said during an interview with Forbes:

‘I think it’s fake news, but if he did that, I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win.’

He commented it was not meant to undercut Tillerson, and Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said it was simply a joke.

So, will Tillerson last the duration of Trump’s presidency — even just one term? Only time will tell. However, four years minimum is still a long time to work with a basket case like Trump. Furthermore, it’s not like other top officials have resigned from the beleaguered and wacky circus-like administration. We aren’t rooting for him, and we definitely don’t feel much sympathy for Tillerson; however, we can understand if he’s tired, and he’s ready to throw his hands up and be done with the entire mess that is the Trump administration.
