Several shots were fired at Rancho Tehama Elementary School in Tehama County, California on Tuesday morning. The shooter, who was killed by police, shot 5 people, injuring 2 and killing 3.
Over 100 police officers and members of law enforcement responded to the scene, to handle all five crime scenes. Among the gunshot victims are children and a 30 year old man. A six year old child was shot twice before being airlifted to a hospital, while another suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. Sara Stinson tweeted about the tragedy early on Tuesday morning:

According to a report, the incident started at a nearby home and eventually transitioned to the location of the school at around 8 o’clock in the morning. According to another tweet by Stinison, parents weren’t certain of the status of their children.
Fortunately, police have reported that the students were evacuated to a safe location.
