As of late, a lot of women and men have been coming forward to out powerful men for sexual assault in some form or another, at some time in their lives. Among those men called out, of course, was the president of the United States, as well as many well-known actors and various other politicians.
Roy Moore, the favorable Republican nominee in Alabama for a U.S Senate Seat, came under fire recently as well, with accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior with a minor coming to light, with more women coming forward, claiming that Moore expressed inappropriate sexual behavior towards them at various ages.
Moore had a total of 5 accusations of the sort against him, however, two more women have come forward with stories of Moore sexually harassing them, bringing Moore’s total accusations up to 7.
A woman by the name of Tina Johnson came forward with claims that Roy Moore groped her while she was in his law office with her mother in 1991, at which time Moore was married. Johnson, who was 28 at the time, recalled how uncomfortable she felt, and stated:
‘He kept commenting on my looks, telling me how pretty I was, how nice I looked. He was saying that my eyes were beautiful.’
Johnson recalled that once her legal business with Moore was finished she got up to leave, with her mother walking through the door first. Johnson stated Moore then came up behind her and grabbed her but the buttocks. Johnson stated, “He didn’t pinch it; he grabbed it,” and she recalled being so shocked that she didn’t even tell her mother.
It is safe to say that with seven accusations of sexual misconduct against him, Roy Moore isn’t many people’s favorite person.
