Tuesday proved to be a super busy day for the Trump family as they were busy sexually harassing and insulting women on Twitter.
First off, Papa Trump fired off a tweet insinuating that Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand would do anything for campaign donations. There isn’t really any way you can say he meant something else, but surely his supporters will try.
The tweet prompted a response from Gillibrand herself that was standing ovation worthy. Even better, Sen. Elizabeth Warren responded to the sexist tweet from Trump with her own tweet saying:
‘Are you really trying to bully, intimidate and slut-shame @SenGillibrand? Do you know who you’re picking a fight with? Good luck with that, @realDonaldTrump. Nevertheless, #shepersisted.’
That tweet prompted several responses from users on Twitter including one really boneheaded guy who doesn’t really get the idea of what Warren actually said. He tweeted:
‘And here, Fauxcahontas calls @SenGillibrand a slut.”
Not only is Cardillo a sexist pig, he’s also culturally insensitive. Cardillo’s Twitter profile describes him as:
‘Host of “Off The Cuff” @TheRebelTV. Comms Director, #MAGA Coalition. NYPD once upon a time.’
Now, he’s just a Trump supporter, and you can expect that from Trump’s extremist base. However, Lil’ Don Don Jr. decided to cruise Twitter and thought it would be a grand idea to retweet Cardillo’s tweet.
As Inigo Montoya said:
‘You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.’
Lil’ Don Don obviously has no clue what slut shaming means. Trump’s original tweet implies Gillibrand came to him and would have done anything for a campaign contribution. By asking for a campaign contribution, which every politician does male or female, Trump implies she’s a slut. Therefore, Trump slut shamed Gillibrand as slut shaming is defined as:
‘…the action or fact of stigmatizing a woman for engaging in behavior judged to be promiscuous or sexually provocative’
First off, all politicians ask for campaign contributions on both sides of the political aisle. So, Papa Trump’s original statement should imply that all politicians are sluts begging for campaign contributions. However, slut shaming is actually really not cool.
Second, Cardillo couldn’t even get the gist of what Warren was saying. Warren never called Gillibrand a slut. Warren called out Trump for implying that Gillibrand was a slut.
Third, Lil’ Don Don Jr. found it hilarious enough to retweet. Why else would you retweet something? Many Twitter profiles will say retweets do not mean an endorsement. However, no one retweets things they don’t agree with or find hilarious or heartwarming. If they do, they at least talk about why they don’t agree with it. Lil’ Don Don though is not the smartest guy on the block.
Trump’s tweet and Junior’s retweet just show how little respect they have for women. Trump may have women in his administration, but by disrespecting so many women he disrespects the ones who work for him. The sooner we can get Trump out of office, the better.
Twitter users responded, and it got pretty heated. You can check out their responses below.
