In September of 2016, during his first presidential debate, Donald Trump had nothing good to say about the stock market. Once the performance of the stock market was doing well under the Obama administration, is when Trump decided that the stock market was just too fickle a thing to trust, and refused to give Obama any credit for the booming stock market, stating:
‘Believe me: We’re in a bubble right now. And the only thing that looks good is the stock market — but if you raise interest rates even a little bit, that’s going to come crashing down. We are in a big, fat, ugly bubble. And we better be awfully careful.’
However, now that the stock market is doing well under the Trump administration it seems that the president has changed his tune. In a Saturday evening Twitter rant, spanning many topics over a short period of time, the president found time to boast about himself and put down Obama, one of his favorite past times. Of course, a Trump twitter rampage isn’t complete without a jab at the fake news, now is it?
It didn’t take long for users of the social media site to call out President Trump for his ridiculously hypocritical statements, and the absurdity of it all. You can view some of the best responses below.
