The closer Robert Mueller gets to the truth, the more frantic Trump’s tweets become. With recent revelations about Trump’s obvious obstruction of justice, four indictments of his campaign team, a subpoena for Trump’s financial records, and the news that Mueller and his team of investigators are not going away anytime soon, the president is clearly in panic mode.
Trump always seems to leave out the fact that the party who originally funded the Michael Steele dossier that compiled evidence of the Trump campaign team’s alleged collusion with Russian government operatives was Republicans doing opposition research on the candidate who could potentially destroy them. He’s already worked so hard to paint anyone who points out his shady past and his corrupt bid for the presidency as evil villains, he has no time to create new bad guys. It’s easier to stick with those he already has: Hillary Clinton, the DNC, and the FBI.
Fueled by Fox & Friends and their willingness to repeat any talking point the Trump administration gives them, Trump is working overtime to convince his rabid fan base that any proof the FBI has is part of a tainted plot to overthrow him by those evil villains who simply don’t want to see him, or America, succeed. Luckily for him, his rabid fan base is ignorant enough to believe him.
Twitter, however, is not. Read some of their responses to the president and his failed attempt to tag a state-run media outlet in a conspiracy theory-filled tweet below.
