Donald Trump has never worked a day in his life. Using your dad’s contact list (and money) and convincing people to give you their money is not “work.” It’s what rich people who were born rich consider “work” to be. That’s why Donald Trump has no respect for Americans who actually do work, and a big part of why he’s as lazy as he is.
On Christmas, Donald Trump tweeted that “tomorrow it’s back to work,” which is a reasonable expectation when you’re the president. Many people went back to work on December 26th. Despite tweeting about it, Donald Trump was not one of them. Instead, he spent the 26th on the golf course. Then, he spent the 27th on the golf course as well. Today is the 28th, and guess what Trump is doing?
If you guessed “golf course,” you’d be right. If you happened to say “golf course, with nothing else on his schedule,” you’d be twice as right. It logically follows that Donald Trump is either a liar (gasp!), or thinks golf is work. Both scenarios seem equally plausible.
According to NBC News, this golfing trip means that Donald Trump has now spent fully 1 in 3 days in office at a Trump property, and has spent nearly 1 in 3 days in office golfing.
President Trump is at his Florida golf club again this morning, marking his 87th day at a Trump golf property and his 113th day at a Trump property since taking office https://t.co/yKUG9cPeFy pic.twitter.com/JtHLhxW3tZ

Trump’s hypocrisy on this issue is particularly galling because it was a specific point he repeatedly attacked President Obama for. Before being appointed president by the electoral college, Donald Trump tore into President Obama on dozens of occasions for occasionally golfing or taking a vacation. Now that he himself is in office, he’s put his predecessors to shame, spending nearly all of his time on the golf course instead of actually working (not that he knows what working actually is. Nobody can ever think of any actual “work” that Donald Trump has done. He tells other people to work. He does not work).
Here are a few examples:
Notably, Donald Trump has golfed so much during his presidency that it’s hard to think of a tragedy he hasn’t golfed during or after. Shootings, deaths of soldiers, and on it goes. Just a short time ago he defended an alleged child molester before hitting the golf course, essentially saying “at least he’s not a Democrat.”
As opposed to 2017, when we now pay the president his salary while he golfs, and then the taxpayers pay his businesses on top of it.
This four-year-old tweet is especially hilarious looking back, because now Trump golfs three times more often than President Obama did in office.
Trump played golf yesterday?? And the day before??? And today???? (Yes.)
“Watch Russia closely.” Was this a 2014 cry for help?

He didn’t drop the criticism there, either. On the campaign trail, he continued, actually making campaign promises that he would not golf. Watch below:
“I’m not going to have time to golf.”
Donald Trump’s fans, of course, don’t care what he does, how many times he lies, or how easy it is to catch him being a hypocrite or lying. They’re a cult, and will worship Dear Leader to the end, no matter how many times he shows them how meaningless they are to him. They have too much emotionally invested in him to admit fault or wrongdoing, even as the rest of the nation sees him for exactly what he is: A scumbag conman out to rob the country to profit for himself.
