Football Player Yells ‘F*ck Trump!’ After National Anthem With Donald On The Field (VIDEO)

If you’ve paid mild attention to college football, then you know that the Georgia Bulldogs faced off against the Alabama “Tide Pods” in the national championship Monday night.

With everyone tuning in, Donald Trump showed up to the game and walked on the field for the national anthem.

As we sat searching for anyone taking a knee, we ended up disappointed as the players were kept in the locker rooms during Trump’s appearance, which is what is usually done anyway.

So, we never got to see anyone take a knee; however, one Alabama player actually did show some sort of protest.

Sporting News tweeted a video showing Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough (#9) yell, “Fuck Trump” as they were walking out to the field. Though it’s hard to see, you can most definitely hear a crystal clear “Fuck Trump” being said from the back of the line.

The sentiment is not surprising. Trump has been belligerently vocal on criticizing NFL players who kneel during the national anthem in protest. To begin with, the protest was meant to bring attention to the plight of black men and women and the oppression they still continue to suffer in America. However, it’s now become an issue of free speech, as Trump has called for the firing of those players who choose to take a knee.

This is also not the first time professional athletes have criticized Trump. Recently, Trump found himself in a feud with LeVar Ball. Ball’s son LiAngelo, a UCLA basketball player, was arrested and detained in China for shoplifting.

While being detained, Trump was visiting China as part of the 12-day Asia trip. Trump’s chief of staff later told reporters Trump was the reason for that release. The players would later thank Trump; however, LeVar wasn’t having any of it. When Ball refused to bend and kiss the ring of the president in reverence, Trump later tweeted he should have left the players in jail.

So far, the reaction to Scarbrough’s exclamation has drawn mixed reviews on social media. It’s definitely not too much of a surprise considering the area Scarbrough is playing for. It’s Ala-freaking-bama. This also comes after an embarrassing egg-on-face loss for Republicans after Senate candidate Roy Moore lost to an actual Democrat in Alabama. Granted, Moore was accused of diddling teenage girls while he was in his thirties, so there’s that.

Regardless, Alabama conservatives aren’t having a good go of things right now, and the Republican party ended up looking like major fools.

For all the hate though, plenty of others are applauding the player and giving conservatives flack for being such major snowflakes to go on social media and whine that someone said something that we all practically say once a day at least.

Ultimately, free speech is free speech. Scarbrough has every right to yell whatever he wants about Trump. There’s no word as of now what sort of disciplinary measures could be brought against Scarbrough. He definitely got time on the field, but it was his right guaranteed by the First Amendment to yell whatever he wanted. God knows conservatives yelled plenty during the Obama years.
