Mr. Trump, unfortunately, has not stopped ranting on favorite social media site these days, Twitter. These days, he is doing his best to try to distract from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, which is inching closer and closer to him. His former chief strategist Steve Bannon has now been subpoenaed by Mueller and he must be sweating bullets by now.
On Tuesday afternoon, Trump was so fired up that he went back to Twitter to whine about immigration this time. Trump tweeted:
Trump was referring back to Executive Order 13780 that he signed back on March 6, 2017, which says:
‘On March 6, 2017, President Donald J. Trump issued Executive Order 13780, Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States, which declared that “it is the policy of the United States to protect its citizens from terrorist attacks, including those committed by foreign nationals,” and directed a series of actions to enhance the security of the American people. The actions directed by Executive Order 13780 have—among other things—raised the baseline for the vetting and screening of foreign nationals, improved our ability to prevent the entry of malicious actors, and enhanced the security of the American people.’
Maybe if he brings up the fact that he passed an executive order on terrorism, enough people will fool themselves into believing he has really accomplished something, and that he is keeping America safe. Then, they will forget about whole Russia probe and start to think he is great enough to elect again, which is scary business.
