Eric Trump Goes On Fox News & Is Completely Humiliated LIVE In Front Of America

There are two persistent qualities of the Trump administration. The first is that President Trump seems eager to offer up some racism at every available opportunity, and the second is that Trump and his associates are always ready to turn to Fox News for a defense of his racism.

On Wednesday, these two themes collided in an appearance by Eric Trump on the president’s favorite program, Fox & Friends. The president posted about his son appearing on the program right as it happened.

Concurrent to Eric’s appearance on Fox, the nation continues to reel from reports of the president having referred to nations including El Salvador, Haiti, and some African countries as “shithole countries” during an immigration policy meeting last week.

Eric addressed this controversy, among other points of interest, during his appearance on Fox with what’s a curious defense to say the least.

At the beginning of the segment featuring Eric, he and the Fox & Friends co-hosts bonded over bashing the media for their pointed Tuesday questions of the president’s doctor, who presented the results of the president’s physical exam at the daily press briefing. Neither Eric nor the Fox hosts paid any mind to the fact that it’s not exactly ridiculous to question how someone who eats exorbitant amounts of fast food and never exercises can be in great health.

Eric did, in the course of his initial media-bashing remarks, manage to fit in at least one half-truth, claiming that there has been a four percent GDP growth rate when there has not yet been a consensus to that effect. The most recent quarter to be measured by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the third quarter of 2017, finished with a 3.2 percent GDP growth rate — which, mind you, is not any higher than the growth rates measured as recently as 2015 under the Obama administration.

It’s also lower than the growth rates recorded back in 2014 under Obama.

Following their discussion about how great the Trump presidency has supposedly been for the United States, Eric and the Fox hosts turned to the topic of Trump having allegedly used racist obscenities.

In what he surely thought was a good defense, Eric claimed that his father is too focused on money to be racist. That’s not really the way that any of this works, but that was Eric’s going line anyway.

He told host Brian Kilmeade:

‘My father sees one color, green — that is all he cares about. He cares about the economy. He does not see race — he’s the least racist person I have ever met in my entire life. It is total nonsense… The reason they do this is they don’t have their own message. What is the message on the Democratic side? Who are the front runners? What do they stand for? They don’t stand for anything, they have been obstructionists.’

Eric saying over and over again that the Democrats don’t have a message won’t make it true.

Democrats stand for the rights of minorities and low-to-middle income people, while his dad stands for the “rights” of corporations and the upper class people of this country as much as anything else. That’s the perhaps oversimplified but significant difference.

“The reason he won the election,” Eric went on to say, “Is that he had a message that really resonated with the people of this country.”

Actually, Eric, the reason he won the election is because voter suppression in key states helped him get a comparatively very slim margin and take a majority in the electoral college while losing the popular vote by millions.

Check out Eric’s ridiculous appearance on Fox & Friends below. Eric, along with his brother Donald Trump Jr., is helping lead the family business in his father’s absence, although his father maintains financial connections to the enterprise.
