The controversial memo alleging that the FBI illegally wiretapped one member of Trump’s campaign team, Carter Page, has caused a political firestorm. While its impact cannot yet fully be understood until the information in it is public, Trump has promised “100 percent” to release it.
What he is releasing, however, is not what Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee voted along party lines to send to his desk for review.

Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, drafted a letter to Nunes on Wednesday night when it was discovered that Nunes made changes to the memo that have not been seen or voted on by the committee. Should Trump decide to release it, it will not be the memo that was approved during the vote.
According to the LA Times:
‘In a letter to Nunes, Schiff wrote that “material changes” were made to the four-page classified document that members of Congress were able to read before the GOP-led House Intelligence Committee voted along party lines Monday to release it.
