BREAKING: Thursday AM Mass Shooting Rocks Middle School – Multiple Victims

Another school shooting has taken place in America. This time, the incident has occurred in a bustling metropolis that surprisingly hasn’t been the setting of many mass shootings. Multiple students, as well as at least one 30-year old woman was shot Thursday morning in a Los Angeles middle school after a female student opened fire in class.

According to NBC, two 15-year old students have been hospitalized, and one is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head:

“The victims, a boy and girl, are both 15 years old, police said. The boy was in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head, fire officials said. The girl was in fair condition with a gunshot would to the wrist, according to the fire department.”

The incident occurred in the Westlake District of Los Angeles just northwest of downtown. Police were called to the area of Belmont High School and Sal Castro Middle School, where the shooting took place.

Chief of L.A. school police Steve Zipperman said this:

“It was a very traumatic experience for students inside that classroom.”

Helicopter cameras caught the alleged assailant being taken away in handcuffs and led to patrol cars outside the school:
