Former Trump Aide Caught On Camera Shoving Reporter At CPAC (VIDEO)

With the Trump administration now well underway into their second year in office, the first year provided telltale signs of not only the policies that they intend on pushing, but also the unprofessional behaviors and attitudes of those who are working for the president. Whether this was in the form of potential ethics violations by top officials, or the constant deflection of difficult questions by White House workers, it is clear that Trump’s band of people have no regard for norms and respects that come with public office.

In the latest instance of these bewildering behaviors, reports have emerged regarding an interaction between a journalist and former White House aide Sebastian Gorka, while both were attending the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Caleb Ecarma, a reporter for the news website Mediaite, claimed that Gorka shoved him during an exchange between the two, with Gorka further telling Ecarma to “f— off.” Video of the reported interaction has since emerged and circulated widely online, which does show a clear moment when Gorka physically pushes back at Ecarma, as the two confront each other face to face. Although the conversation between the two is difficult to understand in the video itself, the Gorka’s action in shoving Ecarma speaks for itself about the context of their talk.

Ecarma has been a vocal and outspoken critic of Gorka in the past, calling the former White House aide a coward, and claiming that the former adviser recently challenged him to a fight through a series of email interactions between them. Clearly, Gorka is by no means a fan of Ecarma’s criticisms, as the reporter outlined in a tweet that he had simply asked the former aide if he remembered him.

Gorka, who had a fairly short and somewhat irrelevant tenure in the White House under Trump, was ousted from his position in August of last year, despite claiming that he had resigned. A POLITICO report which previews what Gorka claimed to be his resignation letter addressed to the president, he wrote that:

‘Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will “Make America Great Again,” have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months.’

The controversy surrounding the former aide involved not only his intrinsically divisive and racially-fueled ideals, but furthermore his constant conflict with other members of the administration who were attempting to put forth a more diplomatic front. Gorka, who is also believed to have ties with Hungarian fascists, was among Trump’s more estranged of the administration’s officials, while also having very little practical knowledge or experience in policy making circles as a whole.

Although in most instances Gorka’s childish behavior would be both alarming and surprising to the general public, such actions have become a trend among those working for the Trump administration. Despite countlessly boasting on the campaign trail that he only hires the “best people” to work for him, over the course of the last year, the American public has yet to see even one example of the people that Trump was referring to.
