Senator John McCain (R-AZ) has been in the news a lot recently. McCain was one of three Republican senators who opposed a bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which he received quite a bit of flack for by Trump and the majority of the GOP. Back in July, he was also diagnosed with glioblastoma, a serious form of brain cancer.
On Friday evening, at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Senator McCain was booed for his vote to retain ObamaCare. Matt Schlapp, the chairman of the American Conservative Union (ACU) who hosts the conference each year tweeted this repulsive comment:
This was enough to make Senator McCain’s daughter and co-host of “The View,” Meghan McCain, fire back giving Schlapp a well-deserved piece of her mind:
Some of the blame for the boos also points to Mr. Trump himself who spoke at CPAC on Friday blasting Senator McCain’s ObamaCare vote, telling CPAC:
‘Except for one senator, who came into a room at 3 o’clock in the morning and went like that, we would have had health care too, we would have had health care too, think of that.’
Trump then imitated McCain’s thumbs down motion he made during a late night vote to pass the repeal measure.

This is not the first time Trump has attacked McCain. In fact, in 2015, when he referred to the senator being a prisoner of war in Vietnam, he said:
‘I like people that weren’t captured.’
Here’s what Twitter had to say to Meghan McCain:
