New Book Reveals Disgusting Behind-The-Scenes Racism At Trump Beauty Pageants

To say that Donald Trump took a unique path to the White House would be an understatement. His path included accumulating titles ranging from reality television star to real estate developer, before bursting onto the scene with his anti-immigrant presidential campaign platform.

Another title that Trump earned before becoming president is that of beauty pageant head. He owned Miss Universe until networks began dropping the competition following Trump coming out as a racist via his early campaign remarks.

Considering the person of Donald Trump, it’s not as though allegations that he behaved disturbingly while leading that organization are entirely surprising. He’s been accused by numerous women of sexual assault and harassment. This sleazy real estate mogul turned political leader is not someone who you want around women, young or old.

Now, there is a new round of allegations about just how disturbingly the man who is now president behaved while leading Miss Universe.

As described in a book coming out soon from Michael Isikoff, Chief Investigative Correspondent for Yahoo News, and David Corn, Washington bureau chief of Mother Jones, Trump, while head of Miss Universe, always had the “right” to review judges’ decisions about who was to advance to the final round of the pageant.

In the context of Trump conducting such a review ahead of the 2013 Miss Universe pageant, which was held in Moscow, the authors shared disturbing anecdotes about Trump exercising racial preferences while making his selections.

An excerpt of the book, called Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump, was released Thursday and reads in part as follows:

‘Frequently, Trump would toss out finalists and replace them with others he preferred. “If there were too many of women of color, he would make changes,” a Miss Universe staffer later noted. Another Miss Universe staffer recalled, “He often thought a woman was too ethnic or too dark-skinned. He had a particular type of woman he thought was a winner.”‘

That’s not all.

The same excerpt goes on to describe Trump as having sometimes kicked a woman out of the pageant who had “snubbed his advances.”

A staffer for the organization explained one way to get through to Trump in these kinds of situations, saying:

‘If he didn’t like a woman because she looked too ethnic, you could sometimes persuade him by telling him she was a princess and married to a football player.’

This is the guy currently leading the United States of America.

The story of Trump exercising these racial preferences is not the first time that there have been reports about disturbing behind-the-scenes behavior from the president at beauty pageants. He is alleged, for instance, to have walked into the teenage girls’ dressing room at the 1997 Miss Teen USA pageant.

Trump admitted at one point to walking into the dressing rooms of contestants in adult beauty pageants.

When pressed about the allegations against her father during a television interview recently, the president’s daughter and unpaid adviser Ivanka Trump quipped that such questions were inappropriate.

The women allegedly violated by her father no doubt feel that what happened to them was “inappropriate.”

Besides the disturbing stories about the president’s behavior while leading Miss Universe, the authors also discussed the presentation of a “black lacquered box” to Trump containing a “sealed letter” from Vladimir Putin following the Russian leader’s inability to actually attend the 2013 pageant.

The box was presented by the daughter of a man whose family employs the publicist who helped arrange the infamous 2016 meeting involving Donald Trump Jr. and a Kremlim-connected lawyer claimed to have dirt on Hillary Clinton.

The authors state that the contents of the letter presented to Trump from Putin have “never been revealed.”
