The Trump administration has proven striking because of the sheer volume of scandal associated with it. Everywhere you turn, there’s another issue, with those scandals ranging from the Russia scandal to the recent cascade of revelations about an alleged affair between the president and an adult film star.

That adult film star, known as Stormy Daniels, was paid $130,000 to stay quiet about her alleged affair with Trump, but now, in the face of Trump never actually having signed the non-disclosure agreement associated with the cash, she’s made it clear that she believes the agreement to be null and void.

She’s suing the president, alleging besides that the agreement is effectively voided because the president’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, used force and intimidation in an effort to get her to hold up the agreement.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders addressed questions about the Stormy Daniels scandal at the Wednesday White House press conference, and following her confirmation that the president had been involved in a legal dispute with Daniels, Trump reportedly turned against Sanders and was “furious.”

Now, Thursday has dawned, and Sanders seems to be avoiding public scrutiny, not seeming to have scheduled an on-camera press briefing for the day.

The White House live events page reads that there are no live events scheduled for Thursday as of mid-morning on the East Coast.

Sanders’ seeming avoidance of the public’s eye after her handling of the Daniels scandal at the Wednesday White House press briefing hearkens back to the general avoidance of on-camera briefings that marked the closing weeks of Sean Spicer’s time in Sanders’ position.

The Trump administration has maintained a relationship with the public that keeps the media at arms length.
