For the most part, the White House has been mum on the Stormy Daniels/Trump scandal that has rocked the news cycle. As a recap, Trump is alleged to have had an affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels. He’s also alleged to have paid her off for her silence before the 2016 presidential election.
However, Daniels is now suing Trump reasoning the agreement they made was never signed by Trump.
In response to this, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders actually acknowledged during Wednesday’s press briefing that Trump and Daniels were going through a legal dispute. Basically, she acknowledged it, and that validates the story to some degree.
CNN’s Jeff Zeleny: Was President Trump aware of the payment made to Stormy Daniels?
Sanders: “The President has addressed these directly and made very well clear that none of these allegations are true” https://t.co/Pd46oEfhnh

Reports are that Trump is now unhappy with Sanders because she acknowledged the story. CNN’s David Wright tweeted sources disclosed the information to Jim Acosta.
‘From @Acosta: A source close to White House says Trump is upset with @PressSec Sarah Sanders over her handling of Stormy Daniels questions yesterday. “POTUS is very unhappy,” the source said. “Sarah gave the Stormy Daniels storyline steroids yesterday,” the source added.’
The fact Sanders gave answers regarding the Stormy Daniels scandal is actually quite surprising. CNN noted this.
‘Uncharacteristically, Sanders did not simply deflect questions about the case to one of Trump’s lawyers Wednesday, a skill she’s largely perfected.
‘Instead, she inadvertently opened new lines of inquiry by startling journalists by offering fresh information.’
