BREAKING: Tuesday Gunfire In Middle School Creates Instant Chaos – Trump Is Silent

Tuesday afternoon found an entire school in a panic and a police officer acting a fool. Would the children have panicked 20-30 years ago? Possibly not. That was a time before Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold went on a murderous rampage inside their Colorado high school, killing 13 and injuring 24, using a “Hi-Point 995 9mm carbine with thirteen 10-round magazines, a sawed-off Savage 67H 12-gauge pump shotgun, and a sawed-off Stevens 311D double-barreled shotgun (the boys also had 99 home-made explosives and 4 knives) – all purchased for them by Dylan Klebold’s girlfriend, 18-year-old Columbine student Robyn Anderson.”

According to Turning The Tide, the weapon that caused the most significant damage was the Intratec TEC-DC9 9mm submachine pistol, with 52-, 32- & 28-round magazines.

Since Columbine, an array of school shooting, on average one every week, have led to fear amongst children in school. So this morning, when a 5-year veteran cop accidentally discharged his weapon in an office at George Washington Middle School, anyone within earshot of the blast nearly lost their lunch.

With the president calling to arm teachers, this accident could not have more meaning.

Not only is it unsafe to put guns into the hands of teachers, but it is unsafe to put them into the hands of police as well. Lesson of the day, no guns in schools equals no shootings in schools. It doesn’t take a degree of higher education, or even a knowledge of gun violence statistics to know that without guns, there can be no shootings.

There is still no word on how the officer discharged the weapon or even why it was in his hands at all, but the local police department released the following message to the public.

According to the Alexandria Police Department’s website:

“Police Conduct Investigation Regarding Officer’s Discharge of Weapon at School. The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding an officer accidentally discharging his weapon this morning at George Washington Middle School, 1005 Mount Vernon Avenue.”

“At approximately 9:10 a.m., a School Resource Officer accidentally discharged his service weapon inside his office at the middle school. He immediately checked for potential injuries in the area. No one was injured. The officer then contacted his supervisor and school staff. All students and staff are safe and classes continued as normal.”

“The officer is a five year veteran of the Alexandria Police Department. The Alexandria Police Department is conducting an investigation into the circumstance surrounding the incident. The officer has been placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.”
