Trump has been particularly unhinged in recent days in attacking what he calls the “fake news” media. While praising networks like Fox News and companies like Sinclair Broadcasting, both of whom are suspiciously and overly kind to the president, Trump has lashed out repeatedly on his Twitter account at any news network that refuses to report on his policies and actions in a way that fits his agenda.
CNN, a favorite target that has taken the brunt of the president’s focus both in the past and in the past couple of days, decided to answer back on Tuesday morning.
Trump’s attacks on CNN have taken a more personal form lately with help from his friends at Fox News. On Friday, Trump had dinner at Mar-a-Lago with Fox News host, Sean Hannity. On that same day, Hannity tweeted and then deleted the tweet about CNN’s president, Jeff Zucker.
What Hannity cannot now delete, however, was his offhand reference to the upcoming “scandals” Fox News is promising to drop against Zucker in an attempt to silence him and his network in their coverage of Trump.
If it seems odd that the White House and a “news” organization like Fox, along with one of its most popular talking heads, Sean Hannity, are all speaking in unison, it should. This is not normal. Despite Trump’s praise of Sinclair Broadcasting, their attempts to unify the public against the most trusted news outlets is not normal, either.

Although Trump’s die hard supporters continue to buy into his endlessly fact-challenged accusations, others on Twitter came to the defense of what was once one of the most trusted names in news before the current dictator-in-chaos came along. See some of their reactions below:
