Trump’s treatment of minorities has always told a much different tale than what he claims he feels. He claims he loves Latinos, African Americans, and anyone that is just a shade too brown. However, he has consistently proved otherwise with the things he has said in front of people on stage.
During the 2016 presidential election, at a campaign stop, Trump literally said this to black men and women across America:
‘What do you have to lose by trying something new, like Trump? … What the hell do you have to lose?’
Considering Trump has been the loudest cheerleader for police officers across the nation, black men and women have every right to worry if their children are in danger of being shot by a police officer when they leave their homes to go to school.
Back in the 1970s, Trump’s own company found themselves in hot water after it was discovered they did their best not to rent homes to black individuals.
If you need any other proof that he’s racist, here’s a comment from 1989.
‘I think sometimes a black may think they don’t have an advantage or this and that. I’ve said on one occasion, even about myself, if I were starting off today, I would love to be a well-educated black, because I really believe they do have an actual advantage.’
Right. That’s why he has so many black people in his cabinet. Oh wait …
Regardless, on the anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Trump tweeted out a reflection on Dr. King, which was probably written by someone else.
‘Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the 50th anniversary of his assassination. Earlier this year I spoke about Dr. King’s legacy of justice and peace, and his impact on uniting Americans. #MLK50 Proclamation: 45.wh.gov/DrKing50th’

We really don’t have to tell you how well that tweet went over on Twitter. Trump faced harsh backlash for the tweet from many who see through his fake visage of acceptance and equality. You can check out the responses below.

You’re so fake ! Hypocrite. You can honestly believe your words ?! Why even bother mentioning him when you mean none of it. You’re dividing Americans.

You have no honor to bestowe upon Dr. King.
— Patrick (@TrickFreee) April 4, 2018
If Dr. King was alive today, he’d be out on the streets protesting against you. You are against everything that he stood and fought for.
— roychi (@roychi) April 4, 2018
Do you realize he was against everything you stand for? He died fighting everything you stand for? Your presidency is the embodiment of the nightmare he didn’t want for his children. Not the dream.
