Many people are still beyond proud they voted for “President” Donald Trump to a point they’ve raised him up to a height where he can do no wrong. Ask the evangelical Christian women who make the exception for adultery for Trumpikins.
However, as his term rocks on, supporters are slowly coming to the realization Trump isn’t delivering on the issues most important to them. Surprisingly, some of those supporters are at Fox News.
When the omnibus spending bill was passed by Congress, several Republican mouthpieces criticized the bill for what little it did to bolster Trump’s agenda.
Now, the way a budget should work is all the necessities required to run a government efficiently would be provided for and anything else would be compromised on. However, a modern-day spending bill is just really a fight between the two parties to see who got more out of the deal.
With a Republican majority in Congress and a Republican president, it should have been easy to pass a bill loaded full of Republican pet projects, such as their precious great wall.
However, the 2018 spending bill mentioned nothing about a wall. Sanctuary cities weren’t defunded, and there was no mention of DACA to be found.
Along with unhappy Republican leaders, Republican propaganda machine Fox News wasn’t too happy with the president or the GOP either and let it be known how unhappy they were.
After facing criticism from the network that worships him like a glorified gold-plated cow, Trump is now upset that he isn’t still their beloved president.
‘Sources who’ve discussed it with Trump say it freaked him out to see the array of usually friendly faces on Fox News’ opinion shows ripping into him for signing a bill that spent a ton of money, but gave lots away to liberal priorities and did little for his signature promises to build a wall.’
Well, of course. The fiscally (and socially) conservative party is okay with spending large amounts of money as long as it’s something they support.
What is also terrifying for Republicans is the fact that the mid-term elections are inevitable, and they’ve been unable to deliver on the promises of a border wall. Fox News knows this.
It’s a huge ostrich egg on the face of Trump whose main issues during the election were toughening immigration laws. The same can be said for those Fox News’ hosts that threw their support behind Trump because they’re scared of brown people.
Laura Ingraham said back in March the old president had left the building.
‘Trump’ won [by] calling out the establishment.’ Where did “that” Donald Trump go?’
Judge Jeanine Pirro didn’t directly rip Trump, but she blamed it on GOP leaders.
‘The omnibus bill that Republicans gave President @realDonaldTrump yesterday is a total betrayal of him and those who elected him.’

Thanks to the courts, federal courts have kept DACA alive; however, with Trump knowing how unhappy the Fox News’ hosts are with him and the GOP party, you can expect him to give Congress hell on the issue of not resolving immigration. If that’s the case, it’s not unreasonable to expect another government shutdown in September when Democrats and Republicans find themselves in the same situation all over again. With a possible shutdown in September, all eyes won’t be on Congress just for the passage of a spending bill. It’ll be the eyes of the public trying to decide what their choice will be at the voting booths. This could work very well in the favor of Democrats.
