Lyin’ Trump Brags About Failed Strikes On Syria During Saturday Morning Tweet-Storm

On Friday night, the news broke that Mr. Trump in conjunction with France and the United Kingdom had ordered the military to launch strikes in Syria in retaliation for a suspected chemical weapons attack by the regime of President Bashar al-Assad on a Damascus suburb last week.

Defense Secretary Mattis said:

‘Clearly, the Assad regime did not get the message last year. This time our allies and we have struck harder. This time, our allies and we have struck harder. Together, we have sent a clear message to Assad, and his murderous lieutenants, that they should not perpetrate another chemical weapons attack for which they will be held accountable.’

Trump gave a speech, saying:

‘We are prepared to sustain this response until the Syrian regime stops its use of prohibited chemical agents.’

British Prime Minister Theresa May also expressed her support for the strikes:

‘So there is no practicable alternative to the use of force to degrade and deter the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian regime. This is not about intervening in a civil war. It is not about regime change.’

‘I believe this was the right thing to do. I believe it’s in our national interest.’

On Saturday morning, Trump was back on Twitter boasting and patting himself on the back for the actions that took place the night before. The president bragged:

‘A perfectly executed strike last night. Thank you to France and the United Kingdom for their wisdom and the power of their Military. Could not have had a better result. Mission accomplished!’

Twitter users didn’t hold back their responses to the narcissist:
