Donald Trump still can’t seem to find those “best people” he bragged about getting to work for him in the White House. Maybe in his mind though, he thinks he’s filled all those positions with great people. We all know differently though. The best people just don’t want to work with Donald Trump and they never will.
Take Bill Gates for instance. According to StatNews.com Gates was meeting with Trump last month in the White House and he recommended that we really need to have a head for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Trump responded by asking Gates if he wanted to be the science advisor.
‘That’s not a good use of my time,’ Gates responded.
Gates wasn’t sure if Trump was being serious though and admitted he doesn’t know what would have happened if he’d said yes to his query.
‘I didn’t put him to the test, whether that was a serious thing or not. He probably himself didn’t know if he was serious. It was a friendly thing. He was being friendly.’
Gates may not be sure if Trump was serious or not, but it’s almost certain that, if he told him yes, he’d already be sitting behind a desk in Washington doing the job. Trump would be thrilled to have another billionaire on the payroll, because it’s apparent that billionaires are the only people he truly trusts…as long as they don’t put him down. He kind of draws a line at that.
Really, why would Trump want to fill an important science position anyway? He doesn’t believe in science. He thinks science is just something people made up to cost billionaires a lot of money through regulations. He doesn’t even believe in man-made climate change. So why would Bill Gates want to work around that kind of ignorance? That answer is obvious–he doesn’t!
