Donald Trump’s TV attorney, Rudy Giuliani, did not fail to astound the audience on a Sunday morning talk show. He continued spilling out ideas that have clogged up the Republican agenda. It has been hard to believe that some of the things he said were okayed by the man sitting in the Oval Office. Yet, there the former New York City mayor was with this most unusual admission.
He showed up on CNN and said something that would sink the president’s huge ship of denial. Trump’s TV attorney was on State of the Union, where Dana Bash substituted for Jake Tapper.
Giuliani said that the Trump presidential campaign members may have colluded with the Russians. Yet, the former mayor recently said that he and the president only talk every two weeks.
What advantage would this latest admission have for the commander-in-chief? The former mayor was certainly all over the place during this interview.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller has been investigating Russia’s attack on the U.S. presidential election. He has also been looking into whether individuals within the campaign conspired with Russia for a Trump win.
Giuliani also admitted to Bash that Mueller’s investigation was legitimate. Then, he doubted himself, wondering if the investigation was legitimate.
Bash pushed on the former mayor about whether he would say definitely that there was no actual collusion.
Bash asked the former mayor, “You are confident that there is no collusion?” Then, Giuliani made a teeth-jarring reply to the CNN host:
‘I can’t be confident. Am I confident because I was in that campaign at a very intimate level? Nobody talked about or knew about Russians. This came as a surprise to me and to the president. You go out to the outer orbit, how do I know what is going on? I don’t think that would matter. If there is collusion with a guy 50 rungs down, if it did, I don’t know what that means.’
